The Church of Our Lady of Kazan was founded in the 1940s by Russian immigrants in San Diego. It belongs to the Moscow Patriarchate, Deanery of the Western States. The name in English is Our Lady of Kazan Partiarchal Orthodox Church.
The church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was the only one in the San Diego area for a long time. The parish was founded by a group of Russian immigrants. On July 11, 1949, the church was consecrated by Metropolitan Macarius.
Catechetical courses and theological talks on Orthodoxy are held for adults and children.
